Are Mo Mahj mats made to order?

Yes. Mo Mahj does not hold inventory or pre-made stock. Every mat is custom made to order specifically for you after your order is placed.

Because your mat is individually produced rather than pulled from existing inventory, please allow approximately 1–2 weeks for your mat to be crafted and prepared for shipment.

Our made-to-order model allows us to offer a thoughtfully curated collection of designs without mass-producing excess inventory—and means your mat is created especially for your order.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email. We promise it’s worth the wait!

Where are Mo Mahj mats made?

Our premium vegan leatherette mats are crafted and printed in the UK using high-quality materials selected for their beautiful look, feel, and performance.

Because every mat is made to order, your mat goes into production after your order is placed rather than being pulled from existing stock.

Where do Mo Mahj patterns come from?

Mo Mahj collections feature thoughtfully curated artwork and patterns from independent artists and designers, selected to complement the Mo Mahj aesthetic.

Artwork used in our products is commercially licensed for use on finished products, and the appropriate commercial licensing rights are obtained for the designs we offer.

Each pattern is thoughtfully selected and translated into a Mo Mahj mat with careful consideration given to color, scale, placement, and the overall look of the finished piece.

What are Mo Mahj mats made from?

Our mats are crafted from premium vegan leatherette with a subtly grained, leather-inspired texture.

The material has a slim, lightweight profile designed to sit beautifully on your table without added bulk. The smooth playing surface allows tiles to glide effortlessly for fluid, comfortable play.

The surface is also durable, waterproof, and wipeable, making it as practical as it is beautiful.

What size are the mats?

Mo Mahj mats measure approximately:

33" x 33"

Because our mats are made from a flexible textile-backed material, slight shrinkage or variation can occur during the printing and production process. For this reason, all dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly from mat to mat.

Their thin, flexible construction makes them easy to roll for storage while maintaining their refined look and feel.

Will my mat get sticky in hot or humid weather?

Our mats are made from durable, upholstery-grade vegan leatherette designed for frequent handling and everyday use. Under normal indoor conditions, the surface is not expected to become sticky simply because of warm or humid weather.

As with any PVC-based leatherette, prolonged exposure to excessive heat, moisture, or direct sunlight can affect the material over time. To keep your mat looking and feeling its best, wipe it clean after play, allow it to dry completely before rolling, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme heat.

We also recommend never storing your mat while damp or wet.

What colors are in my mat?

Each product listing includes Color Notes highlighting the primary colors found in that particular design.

For example:

Main colors: Sea glass, muted teal, misty blue, blue-gray, and white.

These descriptions are intended to help you get a better sense of the overall palette before ordering.

Please keep in mind that colors may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings, material, and the printing process.

Will my mat look exactly like the photos online?

Product images shown on our website are digital renderings created from the original artwork files used to produce each mat.

Because screens display color differently and artwork can translate slightly differently when printed onto a textured material, subtle variations in color, tone, scale, or detail may occur between the digital images and your finished mat.

These slight variations are a natural part of the printing process and do not indicate a defect.

How will my mat be packaged?

Your Mo Mahj mat will arrive gently rolled inside a clear storage tube, which you can keep and use to store your mat between games.

The storage tube is then securely packed inside a protective cardboard shipping box to help keep your mat safe during transit.

We recommend storing your mat rolled in its tube rather than folded to help maintain its shape and prevent creasing.

Why isn't my mat completely flat when it first arrives?

Because your mat is rolled for packaging and shipping, it may have a gentle curve when you first remove it from its storage tube.

Simply unroll your mat and allow it to rest flat before play. Any gentle curves from being rolled should naturally relax over time.

How should I care for my Mo Mahj mat?

Mo Mahj mats are designed for everyday play while maintaining their elevated look and feel.

To keep yours looking its best:

Gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth as needed.
For spills, blot promptly and wipe clean.
Avoid harsh cleaning products and abrasive materials.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may affect the surface or printed colors over time.
Do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron, or expose your mat to high heat.
For storage, gently roll your mat rather than folding it to help preserve its shape and prevent creasing.

Are Mo Mahj mats waterproof?

Yes. Our vegan leatherette mats have a waterproof, wipeable surface, making cleanup after everyday spills easy.

We still recommend blotting spills promptly and avoiding soaking or submerging your mat.

How should I store my mat?

We recommend gently rolling your mat and storing it in the clear storage tube provided when it isn’t in use.

Avoid folding your mat, as prolonged folding may create creases in the material.

Are Mo Mahj designs limited?

Yes. Mo Mahj is built around thoughtfully curated collections rather than an endless catalog of designs.

Patterns may be retired as we introduce new collections, and we cannot guarantee that a particular design will always remain available.

If you love a pattern, we recommend ordering while it’s available.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Because every Mo Mahj mat is custom made to order and production may begin shortly after your purchase, we cannot guarantee cancellations or changes once an order has entered production.

Please double-check your design, quantity, shipping address, and other order details before completing checkout.

Can I return or exchange my mat?

Because every Mo Mahj mat is custom made to order, all sales are final once shipped.

We are unable to accept returns or exchanges unless your item arrives damaged or defective.

Please review the product description, approximate dimensions, color notes, and other details carefully before placing your order.

What if my mat arrives damaged or defective?

If there is an issue with your mat when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible and include photos of the mat and packaging so we can review the issue and make it right.
