Meet Ari

I’ve always believed the little details are what make a house feel like a home and an ordinary afternoon feel worth remembering.

As a photographer and lifelong creative, I’ve spent my career drawn to beautiful spaces, thoughtful design, and the moments that bring people together. So when I discovered mahjong, I fell in love with more than the game itself. I fell in love with what happened around the table.

The conversations that lingered long after the last tile was played. The friendships that deepened over weekly games. The tradition of gathering, unplugging, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

Like many creative pursuits, one idea quickly led to another. I started imagining mats that felt as beautiful as the homes they lived in, pieces that complemented your space rather than competed with it. Timeless colors. Elevated textures. Thoughtfully curated designs that make setting the table feel just as special as playing the game.

That’s how Mo Mahj came to life.

My hope is that every piece becomes part of your traditions; whether you’re hosting your regular mahj group or teaching someone to play for the first time.
